Paid parking policies are in force in some parts of Breda. Alongside paid underground and/or multi-storey car parks, there is also roadside parking and spaces which requre a parking permit.

Cycling is very popular in the Netherlands and there are various special rules and several kinds of facilities for cyclists. For example, there are special cycling paths and separate traffic lights for cyclists.

Breda also has several places with secured bicycle storage facilities in the centre of the city. Please note that cyclists do not have right of way over motorized vehicles, unless stated otherwise. Motorways and highways are closed for cyclists. You can hire a bike from special private companies, for instance at the Central Station.
